I started working with Lyle in 2010 when he was one of the top award-winning agents at Flight Centre in Vancouver. I was the garden columnist with The Vancouver Sun, taking readers on garden tours to Europe and other parts of the world.
Of all the agents at Flight Centre, Lyle was singled out and recommended to me as the perfect person to arrange a tour.
Since then, we have done a total of 27 tours together, all very successful with many people returning again and again to do more tours with us.
Every time, Lyle has skillfully managed details and patiently taken care of people's needs' booking hotels, arranging airport pickups and always ensuring that we got the best price for the total tour package.
More than all this, I know Lyle cares passionately that people are happy at the end of the day and I have been delighted to see how hard he works to make sure everyone has an experience that is both thrilling and rewarding as well as one that leaves them with lasting good memories.
I know he has learned a great deal over the last 14 years of working with me on tours and I believe there are few people, if any, in the travel industry with his comprehensive experience.

Our recent trip to Sicily and Malta with Truden Travel was an unforgettable journey through history, culture, and stunning landscapes. Each destination offered unique experiences that made this adventure truly special. The promised tour theme of culture, food & festivals exceeded our expectations with the combination of the Couscous Festival in San Vito Lo Capo, the street food tours in Palermo, to the Notte Bianca Festival in Valletta, Malta.

The itinerary was well-planned, allowing us to experience the best of both Sicily and Malta without feeling rushed. From the vibrant markets of Palermo to the ancient ruins of Agrigento, every stop was thoughtfully chosen. In Valletta, we explored the breathtaking architecture and rich history, with ample time to wander and soak it all in. We even did a full-day excursion to the idyllic island of Gozo, sister isle to Malta.

My experience with Truden Travels was an experience I will remember for years. This trip was my first big trip off the West Coast, and it was a wonderful first.

The tour focused on food and festivals, and I found food is a wonderful way to view other communities, cultures and regions. We had a great mix of street food, Michelin star food, and everything in between. We saw a wide range of cities and regions, with local guides, as well as self guided tours. There was rich history shared, perspectives learned, and of course food enjoyed. Thank you Lyle and Jeff for such a memorable experience.
